Singapour et moi...Singapore and me

Metro Orchard... Singapour et moi c'est une histoire "d'amour" de plus de 20ans. J'ai la chance d'avoir pu y séjourner à différents moments de ma vie. J'ai pu voir sa transformation à chaque visite, mais certaines choses n'ont jamais changé... C'est une ville-état qui fonctionne bien, ou la propreté et l'organisation ne sont pas des mots en l'air, mais aussi un état ou l'acceptation culturelle et ethnique font que les Singapouriens peuvent être fiers de ce qu'ils ont construit. Souvent, mes amis me disent "Il n'y a rien à voir ou à faire à Singapour...en plus c'est trop propre". Je serai tenté de répondre qu'il n'y a rien à voir non plus à Paris...sorti du Louvre, des Champs Elysées de la Tour Eiffel et de Montmartre, effectivement il n'y a rien à voir à Paris...et en plus c'est sale ! ( Ca c'est une réalité ). Et bien pour Singapour, cette cité-jardins, sortez des sentiers battus, sortez d'Orchard Road, de Marina Bay et de Sentosa, et vous verrez que cette ville peut vous surprendre par bien des côtés. Dans de nombreux endroits vous pourrez voir des endroits tellement dense en végétation, qu'ils sont là pour vous rappeler que Singapour était un immense marécage tropical et que Sir Raffles ( son fondateur britannique ) a reussi son pari de visionnaire...Singapour est un des états les plus puissants du Sud-est asiatique, où un peu moins de 4 millions d'habitants en ont fait le 1er port du monde. Alors prêt à me suivre pour une petite visite en images ? Singapore and me, it's a 20 years old "love" story. I went there several time, and at each time I could see how this city-state has been transformed...but something has never changed... This state "works" well, it is very clean and well organized...it's not only a dream. Ethnicity and cultural differences are lost in the crowd, that's why each Singaporean can be proud of his nation. Often my friends said " Singapore ?...nothing to see, noting to do...it's a boring city...too clean for my taste". I answer " you know Paris could be the same..except "Le Louvre" muséum, "Eiffel tower", "Montmarte", and "les Champs Elysées", what do you want to see or to do in Paris...except and it's true, that Paris is a dirty city" !. So, if you go to Singapore, the city-garden, please don't stay only on Orchard, Marina Bay or Sentosa. Please walk off the beaten track. Due to the vegetation, some places can remember you, that Singapore was before a huge tropical swamp. Imagine the hard work for his founder Sir Stamford Raffles. He won his bet on the future to become Singapore one of the most important financial place of South East Asia. With almost 4millions people, don't forget that Singapore is the first harbour of the world. So ready to have a walk with me ?
